Change is the only constant in our lives and no facet, even luxury hotels, can escape from constantly innovating to give the very best to their customers. We have heard of glamping resorts in and around civilisation, but now for the first time in India, Della Adventure and Resorts have pushed the envelope of theme based hospitality to come up with a facility of five star standard deep within the bowels of a live rain forest.
Jimmy Mistry, CMD Della Group. has taken the idea of experiential hospitality to another level by designing India’s first military theme glamping resort which sets the highest luxury standards even in the wilderness. D.A.T.A. is not only one of its kind in the country, it also sets the very standards of 5 star luxury from within the heart of a jungle offering spectacular views of mountains and a lake.
In his very own inimitable style Jimmy has designed D.A.T.A. out of over a 100 shipping containers and coupled this gregarious structure with 30 luxury camping tents tents each a palatial 500 sq feet in size, with a sit out, bedroom and bathroom area. These military style tents not only capture the army barrack vibe from the outside but are actually seats of 5 star standard comfort and luxury from within.
The glamping tents are fully air conditioned outdoor tents which are the epitome of comfort each comprising of two spacious double beds, 55 inch flat screen TVs with round the clock cable channels, a Jacuzzi, a steam room, shower cubicles, vanity counters a fully equipped mini bar, a safe, tea and coffee makers. The facility also boasts of a refreshing swimming pool to take a dip in, a salon to unwind and even a spa to soothe and relax the senses. No five star resort would be complete without a 24 hour in room dining service proudly brought to you from our very own restaurant in the middle of a jungle.
Salaam Manekshaw, our 5 star standard fine dine 70 seater restaurant under the stewardship of a 5 star executive chef is tastefully designed by Jimmy Mistry as a salute to the legend of a true Zorastrian Hero. The restaurant inside, lies resplendent with interesting quotes about his life by the Field Marshal himself and also proudly showcases a wall which talks about 20 Indian Army regiments and their steep history and can accommodate another 60 happy patrons on its outdoor deck offering spectacular views of the mountains and stables. The lobby outdoor restaurant which will soon be completed features a permanent barbecue set up along with traditional Hangi cooking all the way from the Maoris of New Zealand.
